PSALM CHAPTER 13

"How Long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?" When things start going bad we tend to want to rush the Lords work. We get antsy with our Father wondering if He has chosen to ignore our prayers. Patience ladies and gentlemen is an important step in spiritual growth. We must learn to be patience with the Lord as he is patience with us. How many times have we fell short of his glory yet still received grace? Our relationship is a two way street, we cannot have the Lord on our time and in our way. This is salvation not Burger King. We must stay in prayer and continue to ask the Lord for what we need. He will answer our prayers and we will be able to prevail over all those who seek our demise. "Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;" As long as we stay the course the Lord will consider us and he will give us everything we asked for. The thing is that it may not always be when we want it, it is when God feels we are prepared to handle it. Yes pain is hard to accept, but so is success. The Lord does not want us to squander or blessing so the process of preparing us to appreciate them may be a little ruff. There is nothing wrong with going through ruff times in the valley as long as you can still have a few of the mountain top. That view is our hope and that hope is that one day we will be on top of that mountain with the help of our Father. "But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me."
